The Force -Chapter 2- Training

-Chapter 2-

Training

After enrollment I was supposed to go to my head sergeant, my teacher. I was assigned to Mr. Rolland. He was a Doberman Pincher, a very strict one at that. Since today was my first day I would do my evaluation. They would test my speed, my endurance, my strength, and my capability to take extreme pain. I think I did well, I would see it in tomorrow, with the rest of my breed. They had a board of test results in that category of breed, in my case German Shepard. I was excited to see how well I did compared to the other German Shepard's.
It was the next day and I ran out of my dorm, which I was assigned with no one in it. I came up to the board, looked under German Shepard, and there was one score, which was mine. I was the only German Shepard in the Academy. I was confused maybe it was a mistake, I ran up to my head sergeant and asked why there weren't any German Shepard's on the list besides me. He took me aside and told me that parents of German Shepard's don't let them into the academy because all German Shepards are in the front lines and there life expectancy is low. I was now scared out of my mind, what was I supposed to do?

The Force -Chapter 1- The Start

The Force

-Chapter 1-

The Start

I finally got in, after all that hard work I got into the Academy of Dogs In Training (DIT). They sent a letter in the mail saying we have accepted your pup to be in the Academy of Dogs In Training. Congratulations. That meant that I passed all my tests and tomorrow I would be heading off to training camp tomorrow. I was so glad I told my parents, they were proud of me, but also sad that I was leaving. I told them I would be ok. It was the next day and I was off. I packed my bags and walked to the academy. It wasn't such a long walk to the academy so when I can I will visit them, to make sure there doing alright.
When I got there, there were all types of dogs, but me I was a pure breed German Shepard, and I was proud to be one. I came into the sign-up office and waited in line to enroll. While was waiting in line I saw the head of the academy Mr. Hunnigan, a huge German Shepard, and I meant huge, he was twice the size of my father, and my father was a regular sized German Shepard. He came up to me my face was at his shoulder blades. He asked me if I was ready for anything that came my way, I was scared to see what would happen but I said yes. He nodded his head and walked away. I was now scared to see what would happen next in my training.

School Breaks

School Break

I am going to go off topic and talk about school breaks. Around five or six years ago school started in mid-September, now its starts mid-August. I feel like the change is worse for both students and parents. Parents need a break from taking their children to school, helping them, and making sure they get picked up from school. I feel like parents get stressed from taking their children to school, and making sure they have good grades. They need a longer break. For children, they dont want to go to school, they want a longer break.
For example my mother was getting tired of worrying about my grades if, not saying I get bad grades, I wasn't doing so well. She was also getting stressed from taking to me school. Before the shorting of summer break I would say she and other parents had more time to relax and recover. Over all I doubt anyone liked the shortening of summer break. I think the only good things that come from it is that we get to see our friends earlier and teachers get paid more.
